I'll stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the combatants confronted each other to publicize next month's boxing match.
Former two time world heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the novice remains one of the sport's greatest financial successes, regularly earning substantial paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
